Learning Assessment Listserv
On September 22, the Research and Planning (RP) Group
for California Community Colleges and the Center for Student
Success launched a new LearningAssessment
Listserv. The Listserv provides a forum
for discussing effective and practical ways of using assessment
for improving student learning while also meeting the
new WASC Accreditation Standards.
To provide participants with an effective and efficient
means of interacting, the Listserv is moderated. Each
week moderators will e-mail participants short presentations
and/or summaries of participants' comments on an important
issue in assessment. While the topics to be covered will
likely be adjusted over time to accommodate participants'
needs, the initial topics planned include:
* Developing Course-Level Learning Outcomes
* Assessing Course-Level Learning Outcomes
* Integrating Course-Level Assessment with Department/Program
Practice
* Developing and Assessing Program-Level Learning Outcomes
* Developing a Simple and Effective Assessment System
* Assessing the Impact of Student Services on Learning
To join the Listserv, please send an e-mail to Listserv@listserv.cccnext.net
without a subject line. In the body of the e-mail, type
line "subscribe LearningAssessment" without
quotation marks.
