Economic Development Administration Regional Symposium –
Long Beach 5/16/07

US Economic Development Administration will hold a regional symposium in Long Beach, May 16th. Registration is free, but you need to register.

The symposium will focus on regional strategies, policies and best practices to create jobs and economic opportunity. Speakers will include regional and national leaders from the private and public sectors. The program will include case studies of successful regional approaches to economic development, a session on innovation and entrepreneurship, and training related to EDA programs. Each symposium will offer the opportunity for learning, networking and idea-sharing with other participants.

EDA Regional Symposia Coming to a City Near You Partners:

The Economic Development Administration and EDA regional offices, in partnership with the International Economic Development Council and National Association of Regional Councils, will hold five Regional Economic Development Symposia in the coming months.

Philadelphia is the place to be on March 13 for the first Symposium which will focus on Innovation. Sessions include "Stimulating Innovation through Regional Collaboration" and "Creating Programs to Inspire Innovation."
